When asked about his decision to resign as head football coach at KU, Mangino was quoted as saying, “I’d actually decided to resign a week before the missouri game, but chose to keep quiet because i didn’t want my players to have to make the difficult decision of trying to decide whether or not to carry me off their field on their shoulders.”
Not really, but i can’t help but laugh that KU got rid of the best thing that ever happened to that football program b/c he had a bad year and he’s really, really fat.
